Standard King Room Tombstone

Positive: After a long drive from Southern California, we got there late at night and were able to access the room by ourselves after they gave us codes to the door, this was the first time we ever accessed a motel this way and it went very smoothly. The room was really spacious with really quirky amenities and within walking distance to the downtown area of Tombstone. It's important to note that Tombstone basically shuts down at night, but there are a few restaurants and bars available later at night, but the hotel does have an ice machine and vending machines available if you need a snack. Word to the wise: If you're going to be arriving late at night, make sure you stop by one of the restaurants on the way into town or bring your own.

Positive: Very nicely renovated rooms—not a hasty flip. Great theming, too. And can’t beat the proximity to all the sites in Tombstone! Negative: Not specific to this hotel, but there is only one restaurant in Tombstone open for breakfast.

Loved this hotel. It is a perfect location with the main street being just a short walk. Positive: Location is great, its just a short walk to the main street but far enough away to be quite from the saloon noise in the evenings. The bed was super comfortable and the bedding was nice and soft. Room was clean and well presented. We drove from Phoenix and the hotel is on the main road so it was very easy to find with plenty of parking. It's just a short drive to Boothill (less then 5 mins) and there was a petrol station and small supermarket next door to the Boothill cemetery so we were able to fuel up and gather some stores really easily. It's a motel, not a hotel so no daily cleaning as standard but you can request this if you wish - we liked that we were not disturbed or woken up by housekeeping so it suited us perfectly. Negative: The room comes with a fridge and microwave which are both good, but there is no crockery or cutlery so you can't really utilise the microwave other than to maybe warm up coffee. It would have been nice to just have a few plates so we could heat food instead of eating out all the time. Unfortunately, the people in the room above us were very noisy and the rooms have wooden floors. It felt like they were stamping up and down across the room most of the night, and kept dropping things on the floor. We needed a low level floor so couldn't really change that but given the chance we would chose an upstairs room and be mindful of the wooden floor for our downstairs neighbours. I wouldn't say this is the hotels fault and it wouldn't stop us staying there again but felt it's worth mentioning if you are light sleepers.
